An old
couple, Steve and Carol, gave me a lift so that I could catch the calendar and
made it to the campsite early.

Last
night, before going to sleep, M said that he need at least a 8hr-sleep for the
trekking next day, so we just set alarm to 0800.
We had
quite a breakfast this morning, fried noodles, kiwi fruits, apples and
biscuits. That could be much better with fresh milk and juice. But I didn't
take any because they were too heavy take. Anyway, I am a ULer! (forget about
the fruits and the coins #233 -_-#).
This
was quite different from my previous experience. For every trekking in China
before, we had very simple breakfasts in a hurry.
After
some fried noodles (two serves) and a cup of coffee, we went to Mt. I Don’t
Remember the Name, which took me 22min, and for M, 37min. The view was not as
good as in some other places I have been before. However, it was so nice that I
could see the sea and some small islands up there.
The
view of sunset recalled me of the good old days that several years ago, when I
was in the Jiading Campus, I could always enjoy the time of seeing the sun down
and down until its disappearance, in the 4th floor of the library.
M's
strength was not as good as I thought before, but he was the best candidate by
now.

Having
considered M's status and the necessity of carrying camping gears, I asked M to
deal with the 4-person tent (╮(╯_╰)╭).
After a breakfast of instant rice and noodles, we started the journey today,
and 1.5hrs later, M felt uncomfortable and decided to fall back to the
campsite. Concerning his terrible status, I companied him back to the campsite
where we started this morning and then restarted my journey at 1330, alone.
The
journey started at 1100, and took 5.5hrs to finish a 3hrs-average-route (we
WALK as a team, if you ask).

I got
up at 0550 came to the viewpoint a couple of minutes before the time the hut
keeper had told me yesterday. And then I found that I made a mistake, that the
viewpoint was nice for the view of sunset. But for the sunrise, there was a big
rock standing in the way.
It
cost us 4.5hrs to the campsite, which supposed to be more that, even M was not
in the right shape.
Before
going to sleep, with the help of Star Chart app, I recognized some famous stars
such as Mariner’s Compass, Virgin and Sirius.

Generally,
it would cost 4-6 hours to the intended campsite for today, I thought I could
make it less than 5hrs and get there right before sunset. Even I brought two
headlamps, it was not wise to trekking/hiking in some routes you were not
familiar with. I set timers for both walking and breaks, and arrived at the
campsite after 3.5hrs, when I realized that I could be the only one person in
the campsite.
I had
to mention that, I only got 1 piece of solid fuel then, which could boil less
than 1L water even with windscreen. (This was my fault. I did not have made and
tests with the solid fuels before I came here.)That was a windy night, but
occasionally I could get some signals to make a few calls.

I was
so graceful to find that I was still alive after such a terrible rainy and
windy night. After having some biscuits and instant chocolate with cold water,
I left the campsite.
2hrs
later, I came to a widely advised viewpoint with extensive views, and after
another 2hrs, I arrived at the end of the whole 4-5 days trekking.
(Water
consumption during trekking: 500ml / 4hrs, aggressive, huh)
